You’ve been waiting. Too long. So buckle up Jonesians, this week brings Part Two of “Going to Dr. Feelgood.” For those who haven’t read the first, jump in your time capsule and head back to March 6th. Sorry it’s taken time, but such is the downside of being a one man band. Everything you see is done by me—and time (if not money, for once) has been scarce.
In the next week, you’ll have a new “First Person” telling the tale of California’s medical marijuana world. I’ve gotten a huge amount of art submissions and queries. Again, sorry for not getting back sooner, but a boy’s gotta sleep.
Expect to hear from me sometime in the near future.
Here at WJ, everything is going well. Jones is getting a big thumbs-up from readers around the world, our Myspace presence is growing, and there’s plenty more good to come.
So stick in. Turns out we’re not going anywhere.

Walkabout Jones: Mission Improbable

Welcome to a new season of Walkabout Jones. Postponed is the trip across America–mostly since gas is about to eclipse $4 a gallon. Instead, WJ is getting primed to take you on a different kind of journey. What you’ll read in the next many months will be an eye-opener. It will be controversial, dangerous and totally unique within all media.
Get ready, my friends, to dive down a rabbit hole. Where it takes us, nobody knows. In the here and now, I can’t reveal much. We’ll be operating in a legal gray area and I’m consulting with attorneys. What I can say is that it’s a worthy project that’s non-violent and aspires to help people. There will be many twists and turns, you’ll be meeting some very colorful people, and together we’ll take a deep look at a timely political and social question.
Make us a habit. It won’t be boring.

Don’t Trip

WJ will return on Monday
One of the challenges of running a one man, one computer operation is that the smallest of bumps can cause big problems. Or, in our case, the smallest of cracks. A tiny crack on the motherboard of our one and only computer means that our entire “technical infrastructure” has to be sent to the manufacturer. We’ve been very fortunate to receive multiple temporary laptop offers and for this we’re surprised and incredibly grateful. Thanks to everyone who didn’t want to see Walkabout Jones die just because our laptop did.
Walkabout Jones will be back on Monday, September 17th, with new content as we wrap up our time in Lake Tahoe.
