I could not agree more. It’s a funny thing about memory, but in reading this, one of the first things that came to my mind was my Dad saying to me when I was young and we discussed politics that he was a “non partisan”. I could not really understand the concept then of thinking beyond party lines. But I think we have reached a crossroad in our history where it is a matter of we need to be non partisan. We need to come together as Americans and not divide ourselves as Democrats, Republicans, Libertarians, Green Party, Conservatives, Liberals etc…Non partisanship needs to be reborn. A wonderful essay and appropriate to the times we live in and the necessity for thinking beyond our own limited world views.
